Town of Elm City Public Records
Below you'll find a growing collection of public records for the Town of Elm City in North Carolina. These records are being added to the page for the public's use. At times over the history of the town, since the rise of the internet, the town has made some of these documents publicly accessible on their official website, but for various reasons unknown to me, this tends to change from board term to term. I believe these public records should be accessible by the public without having to pay the town to print them off. I paid for them and am now scanning them the make them available to you here as a service to my community.
I also found it very strange that, while other charters are, the full Town Charter is not actually located online anywhere, not even at the state level. Only our Town Charter Summary can be found online. That is just one example of the type of documents you'll find here. Town Meeting Minutes will be uploaded over time as well. My plan is to start at present time and work my way backwards.
